Paper Valet

Most users have a lot of bills and invoices gathered over time which they would like to keep, because they don't know when they can come in useful. But having so many of them can make it very difficult to find a certain bill or invoice. Not to mention the fact that small bills are very easy to lose. For avoiding this, the user should scan all of them and store the bills or invoices on the computer. This will make them impossible to lose. An even better solution would be using a program specialized in storing and organizing bills, invoices and every other type of related document, making them easier to find, even if there are many of them.

The program I am talking about is Paper Valet. It's a simple Windows application that allows scanning any type of document using any regular TWAIN scanner and organizing them according to name, date or number. The software is simple all the way from the installation process till using its interface.

Speaking about the interface of Paper Valet, it features some simple to use controls. In order to use the program's features, the user should add a new account name first. After this, for all scanned documents, an invoice number should be added. Optionally, the user can add notes regarding a certain bill or invoice, for recalling a certain piece of information. The number of invoices or bills that can be added into the program is unlimited.

Paper Valet is compatible with virtually any type of scanner. Besides that, the options section of the program allows configuring the way the program displays information. As such, the date format can be customized. Besides that, the page size can be configured, according to the size of the invoice or bill that will be scanned.

All scanned bills are saved as image files, in the program's folder. Furthermore, the tree-like view allows the user to easily navigate between a large number of invoices.
